Tipsy Bacon Bit Pecan Pie

Ingredients:
1/2 cup Pecan Syrup 

1/4 cup Pecan Whiskey 

1/4 butterscotch schnapps 

1/4 maple whiskey 

1/2 cup chopped hickory smoked bacon bits 

1/2 cup melted butter

1 cup of sugar

4 eggs beaten 

Karo Dark Corn Syrup 

Karo Light Corn Syrup 

Directions:
1. Set oven to 350 degrees. 

2. Cook bacon until crispy and chop into bits. 

3. Combine the butter and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. 

4. Add pecan whiskey, butterscotch schnapps and maple whiskey to butter and sugar in saucepan, stir over medium heat for 10-15 minutes until caramelized. 

5. Let mixture cool for 10 minutes. 

6. Add 4 beaten eggs (make sure mixture is cool, to prevent eggs from cooking).

7. In uncooked pie shell, place mixture and bacon bits, then top with 1 1/2 cups pecan halves. Place stripes of foil on crust to prevent burning. 

8. Bake 50-55 minutes until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

NON-ALCOHOLIC - Bacon Bit Pecan Pie 

Ingredients: 
1 cup pecan or maple syrup or Karo syrup 

1/2 cup chopped hickory smoked bacon bits 

1.5 cups pecan halves

4 beaten eggs

1 cup golden brown sugar or white sugar 

1 uncooked pie shell 

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2.Combine butter, sugar, and syrup in a saucepan over medium heat for 10-15 minutes until sugar is  dissolved. Cool for about 10 minutes. 

3. While mixture is cooling, cook bacon until crispy and chop into bits.

4. Add eggs and chopped bacon bits, mix well.

6. Place mixture in uncooked pie shell and top with pecan halves. Place strips of foil on crust to prevent burning.

7. Bake for about 50-55 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean.

8. Cool completely before serving, drizzle pecan or maple syrup over top.
