
Halloween is just a few days away, but it’s never too late to spread some spooky spirit around your home. No one wants to spend a ton of money on decorations, so we’ve got some ghoulish ways to trick out your house using treats you already have at home.
LAWN GHOST
What You’ll Need:
- Tomato cage
- Foam ball
- Set of clear lights
- White twin-sized flat sheet
- Straight pins, a dozen or so
Directions:
- Take a foam ball and attach it to the top of the tomato cage
- Take a set of clear lights and wind them around the cage, making sure the lights are not too close to the foam ball
- Drape a white sheet over the cage
- Pin the sheet on in a half a dozen places around the sides and back
- Cut the eyes and mouths out of adhesive black felt and stick them on
FRANKENSTEIN DOOR
What You’ll Need:
- Green & Black Felt
- White Felt or Construction Paper
- Chalk
- Command Strips
Directions:
- Cover your door with green felt
- Cut out rectangle piece of felt for the hair, simply draw zigzag lines with chalk & cut
- Use measuring cups to measure out the eyeballs
- Trace the eyes with mixing bowls on white felt or construction paper
- For the mouth, cut one square rectangle (black felt) & two white rectangles (white felt or construction paper) for his mouth & teeth, and assemble
- Finally, cut a remaining piece of felt into the shape of Frankenstein’s stitches
- Use adhesive strips to stick items to your door
