Mini Apple Pies

Are you tired of the "same old, same old" for dinner? Grab some bubbles and get cooking! Check out Tamera's favorite recipe using good ol’ soda pop!

“Get ready for a new twist on an all-American classic… it's time for mini apple pies,” Tamera shares. “Take some apples and wrap in crescent roll dough. Then add some butter, sugar and vanilla over it.” The final touch? A can lemon/lime soda! “Put that in the oven and it’s time to chow down once you add a scoop of ice cream,” she adds.

2 large baking apples or 3 medium Granny Smith recommended
2 cans Crescent rolls (8 count)
2 sticks butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Cinnamon to taste
1 can lemon/lime soda

• Peel and core apples. Cut large apples into 8 wedges or medium into 6 so you have at least 16 slices. Roll each apple slice in a crescent roll starting at wide end.
• Place in a 9x13 greased pan.
• Melt butter, then add sugar and barely stir. Add vanilla, stir, then pour entire mixture over apples. Pour soda around the edges of the pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
• Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Serve with ice cream.

Stay poppin’ and enjoy!
