Werk That Braid! 3 Sizzling Styles You Need to Know

If you’re tired of the same ol’ look every day, it’s time to switch up your hairstyle, and braids make a hot fashion statement. Get inspiration from these fun and flirty braided styles that are great for the red carpet and the real world!

3-Strand Fishtail Braid
Channel your inner mermaid with a three-strand fishtail braid. According to celebrity stylist Kiyah Wright, to achieve this look, all you have to do is take your hair into three strands, and weave your hair over and under until you get the finish product. “For the three-strand braid, you should have a little length to your hair to achieve the look,” she says. “I think it looks better the longer the hair is.”

Waterfall Braid
If you forget your headband one day… no worries! All you have to do is create one with a braid. “This look is the waterfall braid,” Kiyah says. “I made a loose braid out of two twisted pieces of hair. I kept the braid going all around the head and secured with bobby pins.” You can still wear your hair down with this look, and the best part is it eliminates the fuss of keeping your tresses out of your face.

Halo Braid
If you’re in an updo kind of mood, the halo braid can be put together to create a dressier look. “We braided all of our model’s hair up in one big braid that wraps around her head,” Kiyah shows. “It’s a very simple design that only takes a few minutes to create.”

Now that’s how you werk that braid! Tell us what you think about these hot styles in the comments section.
