Serve an Entire Thanksgiving Dinner in One Bite!

Thanksgiving is one of our favorite holidays here at “The Real.” Not only is it a holiday about gathering to celebrate the blessings in your life with friends, family, and all the people you love, it’s also about enjoying those blessings through the tradition of delicious food.

Start a tasty new tradition this year with a layered cake of savory goodness. With a Slice of Thanksgiving, you can serve your entire holiday dinner with all the fixings in one bite! Move over side dishes... it's time to feast on the cakewalk!


Turkey Meatloaf Ingredients
2 pounds ground turkey breast
1 cup bread crumbs
1/3 cup ketchup
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1/3 cup finely chopped onion
1 teaspoons thyme leaves
1 teaspoon sage leaves
1/4 cup chopped Italian parsley leaves
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 medium chopped garlic
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Mash Potato Layer Ingredients 8 to 10 diced and boiled potatoes
2 tablespoons of butter
2 teaspoons of salt
1/4 cup of milk
Pinch of black pepper

Sweet Potato Layer Ingredients
4 to 5 sweet potatoes
2 tablespoons of butter
2 teaspoons of salt
1/4 cup of milk
Pinch of black pepper

You'll Also Need:

1 can cranberry sauce
1 box pre-made stuffing – prepare according to directions
1 packet of gravy - prepare according to directions

Cooking Directions for Turkey Layers
• Preheat the oven to 350 F. Coat the (2) 8-inch cake pan in oil.
• Place all ingredients into a large bowl and mix until well blended.
• Place the mixed ingredients into both cake pans. Bake for 28 minutes. Remove from the oven.

Cooking Directions for Sweet Potato Layers
• Boil and then let simmer for 20 minutes.
• Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into small cubes.
• Add butter and milk into saucepan. Add pinch of salt, and brown sugar. Mash up the mix.

Directions to Build the Cake
• Take 1 of the turkey layers and place on plate. Use a long knife or spatula to evenly spread mashed potatoes over the top of the cake.
• Spread the cranberry sauce over the mashed potatoes.
• Layer the stuffing on top of the cranberry sauce.
• Spread another layer of the mashed potatoes over the stuffing.
• Place the 2nd turkey layer on top of the layer of mashed potatoes bottom side up.
• Place cake pan on top of a baking sheet and slide the baking sheet into the oven. Let heat for 35-40 minutes.
• Spread the remaining mashed potatoes on the outside of the turkey cake.
• Spread the sweet potato on top of the cake.
• Place marshmallows on top of the sweet potato layer.
• Place baking sheet back into the oven and broil the marshmallows to toast them, or use a small torch to brown.
• Your Turkey Cake is ready to serve.
