Cardi B stunned her fans when she announced she had split from husband Offset. The Bodak Yellow star and Migos rapper married only last September, and welcomed their baby girl Kulture in July.
In a video shared on Instagram, Cardi said, “So everybody been bugging me and everything, and you know I've been trying to work things out with my baby father for a hot minute now.
"We are really good friends, and we are really good business partners – you know he's always somebody that I run to talk to, and we got a lot of love for each other, but things just haven't been working out between us for a long time.”
She went on, "It's nobody fault. I guess we just grew out of love, but we are not together anymore. I don't know, it might take time to get a divorce, and I'm going to always have a lot of love for him, because he is my daughter's father."
Offset simply responded under the clip, “Y’all won.”
Addressing the shocking split on Wednesday’s show, Adrienne praised Cardi, saying, “It’s never nice when a couple breaks up. I think what people just need to do what is best for them, and I actually applaud her for being calm, kind and very mature and matter of fact.”
Loni said that people need to understand Offset is a 26-year-old rapper with a lot of money.
“It’s real tempting out there on the streets,” she continued. “This is my opinion... he didn’t have to marry her, he was trying to do the right thing by marrying her, but sometimes temptation… I’m not saying he did anything... there’s rumors out there. I’m just saying, that type of lifestyle, let’s be real y’all, it’s hard when you’ve got money. And the road is lonely, and I’ve been on the road.”
Jeannie then dropped a bombshell of her own, saying she knew a year into her 10-year marriage that it wasn’t going to work, but stuck around because she was loyal and wanted to try to make it work.
Adrienne agreed, telling the audience, “Almost everyone who I know who has gotten a divorce has said one of two things; 1) They should never have done it in the first place, and 2) every single person says within the first year they knew, 'Wow, I made a mistake.'”
Jeannie said, “It all comes from that wonderful gift that we need to spend so much more time exploring and feeding – women’s intuition.”
Real fam, do you think you know within the first year of marriage whether the relationship is doomed?
