The Hosts Reveal Who They Think Is the Real King of R&B

The internet completely lost its chill yesterday when Georgia singer Jacquees declared he’s the “King of RnB right now.”

The singer later clarified he only meant of his era, but it was too late – the damage had already been done. His comments sparked a huge debate on Twitter, with famous faces like Kehlani and John Legend even getting involved.

On today’s show, the hosts got involved in the debate, with Jeannie revealing she was influenced by Tevin Campbell, Toni Braxton, Jodeci, and Usher, while Loni cited legend Stevie Wonder.

Adrienne also went old school with her suggestions, naming Teddy Pendergrass, Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross and Al Green.

The viewers also weighed in, with one commenting on "The Real’s" Instagram account, “Prince Michael Jackson, Pebo Bryson, Luther Vandross, Justin Timberlake and Marvin Gaye.”

A second wrote, “Legend wise: Michael Jackson underneath Michael: Usher underneath Usher, Chris Brown a few names that should be included in our current age: Luke James, Mario, Ne-Yo, Trey Songz"

Another said Miguel should have been in the mix!
