On Wednesday, the ladies discussed acts of kindness and paying it forward, after a heartwarming story went viral.
A mom named Becca Kinsey was lucky enough to get a helping hand from three women while on a flight with her two sons, age 2 and 5.
Becca said on Facebook that the women stepped in to help her when they noticed her sons were crying and she was on the verge of tears. One of the women let her go in front of her in line, while a second offered to carry her luggage. Seeing the kids crying on the plane, a third woman then offered to hold her son for the rest of the flight.
“This is women helping women… women can help women and we can be positive and it’s a good thing for the holidays and any day,” Loni declared to applause from the Real fam.
Adrienne added, “I think we’re so caught up in our own world, we don’t take a second to look around and recognize who else might need a helping hand, especially during the holidays. Hopefully, it inspires us to go into 2019 doing that for the rest of the year.”
Tamera said being on the receiving end of something like that makes you want to pay it forward yourself. “It shows you the power and beauty of a simple act of kindness. A woman made it a huge post on her Facebook, and whenever you’re on the receiving end of an act of kindness… I don’t know about you guys, but for me it makes you feel good that you want to pay it forward... it was just nice to see that, it’s refreshing.”
Agreeing with Tam, Adrienne continued, “I think after the year we’ve had in 2018, for it to be coming to an end and seeing positive things, I pray that this inspires people that this is what we need to see so much more of in 2019.”
The ladies also received a message from a fan of the show who said she was so protective of her kids she’s not sure she would accept the help from a stranger.
Tam replied, “It depends on the person. Usually I can sense if the person is kind of creepy. If it’s a mom who is looking at you like, ‘Can I help you out?’ and you’re on the same plane, she ain’t going anywhere!”
Real fam, would you be happy to accept help from strangers?
