After Sunday night’s Academy Awards, the internet couldn’t help but buzz about Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga’s moving rendition of their song “Shallow” from “A Star Is Born.”
The ladies of “The Real” even weighed in on the passionate performance.
Adrienne chalked up their chemistry to “bomb” acting skills, while Loni felt Lady Gaga might just have caught feelings for Bradley Cooper.
Now Lady Gaga is setting the record straight on the talked-about TV moment. She appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” to share her side of how it all went down.
“Yes, people saw love and, guess what? That's what we wanted to you to see. I mean, this is a love song, ‘Shallow,’ Lady Gaga said. “The movie ‘A Star Is Born,’ it’s a love story. We worked so hard, we worked all week on that performance.”
Gaga continued, "From a performance perspective, it was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time. Look, I’ve had my arms wrapped around Tony Bennett for three years touring the world. When you're singing love songs, that's what you want people to feel."
The newly minted Oscar winner added, “I’m an artist, and I guess we did a good job... and fooled ya!"
