It’s Women’s History Month! Celebrate with These 'Real' Empowering Quotes

March is officially Women’s History Month, and what better way to honor the moment than by looking back at some words of wisdom from the ladies of “The Real”?!

The hosts have been known to drop pearls of insight about everything from motherhood to dating, to what it means to be independent, confident and content over the years. If you’re in need of some inspiration, here it is!

For example, last May when “Game of Thrones” star Emilia Clarke made a comment about being over people referring to her characters as “strong women,” Adrienne had this to say: “I say that it’s synonymous. Women, strong. They go together! That’s what we are. We are innately strong, we bear children, women are just strong.”

Yes to that!

When former First Lady Michelle Obama touched on the complex concept of women “having it all,” Jeannie elaborated on what that idea means to her. “You don’t have to have it all at the same time. Those two words are really epic, because for women, we over-plan, we over-analyze. We already want it all, because we are capable of having it all. But when you are having that moment of having a gift, whether it’s having a newborn baby you need to focus on right now, coming out of a divorce… at that time... means spend that quality time in what you’ve got right now, because there’s always going to be that opportunity later for you to still take that seat to the table.”

The ladies also chatted about whether some men are looking for partners who aren’t completely self-sufficient, and Tamera revealed that her independence made her stand out, saying, “My mother raised me to be a very strong, independent woman. And honestly, that’s how I got Adam. Adam loved the feistiness and the strength in me.”

On the topic of gender equality and dating, Loni explained, “If you’re not my man, you don’t have to open up the door for me, because I can open up the door my damn self!”

Real fam, has there been advice or comments about being a woman that inspired you?
