Ariana Grande Wishes Mariah Carey Happy Birthday — & Mariah Responds!

Mariah Carey’s birthday was on Wednesday, March 27 and her celebration not only involved a prank courtesy of her adorable kids, it also included a well-wishing from a fellow singing sensation!

Mariah took to Instagram on Wednesday to share how she rang in her birthday, which she actually refers to as an “anniversary.”

“Silly strings shenanigans,” the five-time Grammy winner said alongside a video of her twins, Moroccan and Monroe, spraying her with silly string!

Mariah also thanked her fans for all the “anniversary love” by posing next to butterfly-adorned balloons in another fun pic. “3.27 💖🦋 I love you so much, thank you everyone for the anniversary love,” she wrote.

One particularly memorable greeting came from a fellow record-breaking female artist: Ariana Grande!

Ariana shouted out Mariah by tagging her in an Instagram Story, gushing, “Happiest anniversary queen of everything. Loved u then, love u now, love u tomorrow.”

Mariah took to her own Instagram Story to respond, “Thank you dahhhhling @arianagrande.”

Ariana’s impressive vocal range has made way for comparisons to Mariah throughout her career.

"Mariah has been a huge influence on me since I was a little girl," she told Us Weekly back in 2014.

Happy birthday, or shall we say anniversary, to Mariah Carey! We’re sure your day was a fabulous one!
