Social media just got a royal upgrade, because the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have officially launched their Instagram account!
The royal couple shared their first-ever post via the Instagram handle @sussexroyal on Tuesday, and they even added a personal message to their new followers!
Meghan and Harry’s caption read, “Welcome to our official Instagram; we look forward to sharing the work that drives us, the causes we support, important announcements, and the opportunity to shine a light on key issues. We thank you for your support, and welcome you to @sussexroyal.” - Harry & Meghan.”
In addition to the caption, Meghan and Harry shared a slideshow of noteworthy and special photos.
The account comes as the couple awaits the birth of their first child, due sometime this spring. Perhaps they’ll share initial photos of Baby Sussex upon the little one’s arrival — we’ll certainly be keeping our eyes on their page for updates!
Meghan and Harry aren’t the only royals hopping on the social media train. Last month, Queen Elizabeth posted her first Insta ever. Meghan Markle previously had personal social media accounts, but she shut them down prior to her marriage to Prince Harry.
Now that Meghan and Harry have introduced their very own Instagram, we have to assume its follower count will rapidly grow. Are you into following Meghan and Harry on social media?
