Do You Post About Your Relationship?

Are you the type who likes to gush about your significant other online, or do you keep your PDA private? If the romance ends, would you also reference the breakup?

It’s become common practice to talk about who you’re dating on Instagram and Twitter, post photos of your dates and special moments, and even hint (or straight-up discuss) when you’re going through a breakup.

Khloé Kardashian’s followers wondered if she was referring to ex Tristan Thompson with a recent Instagram Stories quote post, which prompted the hosts of “The Real” to chat about the pros and cons of opening up about relationships – especially with exes – on social media.

Loni weighed in, “It’s all nice when everybody’s coupled up, you know what I’m saying? You’re taking your pictures, and you know, everything… then when it’s trouble in paradise, there’s a breakup, you gotta deal with that too.”

Loni later explained, “This is why you have to be careful when you put something out publicly, that you’re dating somebody. Because when the breakup does happen, not only do you break up, your fans break up with that person and you have to be careful. And they have to deal with that, and so, that’s just something we have to learn how to adjust to.”

That’s why she initially didn’t want to publicly put her relationship out there. As it turns out, James asked her to do it!

Are you a fan of posting about your dating life for all your followers to see, or do you stay silent on social media about your relationship?
