Tiffany Haddish Shares Moving Message About Life Before Stardom

Tiffany Haddish skyrocketed to fame over the past few years, earning critical acclaim for her breakout role in 2017’s “Girl’s Trip,” getting a standup special for Netflix, and starring in a slew of Hollywood hits.

It hasn’t always been easy for the standup-turned-superstar, and she’s been open about her struggles throughout her career.

As Tiffany shared in the past, she dealt with a difficult childhood and financial hardship, and lived her in car while she was trying to make ends meet. Tiffany took to social media on Thursday to reflect on the girl she once was, and to show gratitude for where she’s been and who she’s become.

Alongside a photo of her younger self doing comedy onstage, Tiffany wrote, “I look at this picture and want to cry tears of joy for this Girl. I remember that night. She was homeless, hungry, scared, and hurt. I promised her if she kept faith in God and Herself, We will get to a place where we will be Housed, Over Fed, Less Hurt and Fear Free. I am so Grateful that she Believed.”

She went on to express that she’s thankful for her progress and excited about possibilities the future holds. “I am so Happy we have come this far and excited about where we will Go. Tiffany Sara Cornilia Haddish I Love and Approve of you and most of all God does too. You are prefect enough for both of us right now and always.”

Tiffany concluded the note to her self with the inspiring hashtags, #SHEREADYFORSUCCESS #ILoveYou#SoHappyForYou#DontWorryWhatTheyThink#WorryWhatYouThink.”

Tiffany has been open about her approach to finding success, even when she’s encountered what might be considered failure. She told W Magazine in 2018, “In failure, there can be success: By that I mean you can learn what not to do. I find the funny in a lot of failures, because I’ve had enough of them. But I am resilient: My soul is very determined.”
