Paging Dr. Elliott and Dr. Timberlake! Okay, Missy Elliott and Justin Timberlake aren’t about to scrub up for surgery or anything, but both chart-topping superstars just received a huge musical honor!

Missy and Justin received honorary doctorate degrees on Saturday from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, along with “Hamilton” composer Alex Lacamoire. Missy made history by becoming the the first female bestowed with the honor.

"This year's honorary doctorate recipients are being recognized for their achievements and influences in music, and for their enduring global impact," Berklee said in a statement.

Notable alumni of the Berklee College of Music include huge Grammy-winning names like John Mayer, Quincy Jones and Melissa Etheridge.

Justin exclaimed on Twitter, holding up his diploma while rocking a cap and gown, “No Dream is too big!!! Keep chasing!!! Trust me... I’m a DOCTOR!! 🤣👨‍🎓 But, for real... THANK YOU to @berkleecollege for this incredible honor—I’m very humbled and grateful.”

“CREATE YOUR OWN LANE!!!! Sincerely Dr. MISSY ELLIOTT,” Missy wrote while enthusiastically showing off her certificate.

Missy accepted her doctorate with an inspiring speech at the Berklee commencement, advising, “As long as you are breathing, it is never too late. Because people will tell you you’re too old, people will tell you it’ll never work. Don’t believe that... because I’m standing here today, and I’m quite sure these people can say the same thing and you all can say this, because look at you. You have graduated.”

Missy continues to break ground this year – she became the first female hip-hop artist to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
