Chrissy Teigen Had a Hilarious Response After Being Called Out for 'Spoiling' 'The Voice'

Spoilers ahead for “The Voice” finale, in case you haven’t seen it!

Chrissy Teigen didn’t intend to ruin the result of “The Voice” finale for viewers who hadn’t yet watched it, she was just supporting her man!

Teigen’s husband John Legend was a first-time coach for the singing competition’s 16th season, which aired its finale last night. Chrissy thought she was innocently congratulating John on a job well done after his team member Maelyn Jarmon ended up winning.

Chrissy wrote on Twitter, “This is literally the happiest I’ve ever seen John ever????” – retweeting a tweet from “The Voice’”s official account, which declared Maelyn the season’s victor.

Even though the cat was out of the bag on the East Coast (and “The Voice” had gone ahead and tweeted), those waiting to watch then came for Chrissy for spoiling the result. Of course, she responded with a somewhat sarcastic apology.

Chrissy tweeted on Wednesday night, “truly sorry for spoiling the voice tonight. I thought that since the official account tweeted it, it would be okay. But now I realize it wasn’t and will make sure that when my husband wins something with someone, I will wait for each state and every country before being excited.”

Chrissy’s witty retorts didn’t stop there. She went on to joke, “well it looks like we are now being penalized for my spoiler and the award has been taken away and given to Carson Daly. Again I apologize.”

If anyone knows how to deal with social media criticism at this point, it’s probably her. Point to Chrissy this time?
