It was a big night out for the Smith family on Wednesday. They got together to celebrate the premiere of Will Smith’s upcoming film “Aladdin.” Smith plays the role of Genie in the flick, and Jada’s look for the evening was a nod to the iconic character.
Jada donned a sparkly blue two-piece crop-top ensemble. She was joined by Willow, Jaden and Trey for the event.
Jada gushed on Instagram, “I’ve been in this business a long time and unfortunately I’m very hard to impress. And ... I’ve known Will a long time and it’s even harder for him to impress me.” She also referred to her husband as a “genius,” saying how nice it was to see him in “full creative, comedic mode!”

Aladdin is amazzzzing! I’ve been in this business a long time and unfortunately I’m very hard to impress. And ... I’ve known Will a long time and it’s even harder for him to impress me. But the movie and @willsmith did more than impress me! I can’t wait to see this movie again! Will is genius as the Genie! It was so nice to see him in full creative, comedic mode! Go see the movie! The cast is wonderful, the story is deep but entertaining and @guyritchie did the damn thing!!! Congrats to the #Aladdin family!
Speaking of comedic mode, Will had a mini “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” reunion on the purple carpet. His former co-stars Alfonso Ribeiero and Tatyana Ali also made an appearance!
Will and Jada have been married for over 20 years, so this isn’t their first premiere outing, and it probably won’t be their last. In an Instagram post in February, Jada opened up about how friendship is at the foundation of their partnership, talking about the durability of love, despite not having all the answers. A part of her caption explained, “It was also the deciding factor to transform my union to @willsmith from a marriage (contaminated with all the above) to a life partnership led by and steeped in ‘devotional friendship’. The only thing to do in life is to find the form of love where we can give the best of ourselves AND ... it’s not always going to look like you thought.”
