Nicole Ari Parker and Boris Kodjoe are one of Hollywood’s hottest couples, and now Nicole is taking her fans behind closed (bathroom) doors to celebrate a relationship milestone – 14 years of marriage!
Yup, Nicole wished her longtime actor hubby a happy anniversary by stripping away the glitz and glamour for a brief moment of marriage realness.
Nicole took to Instagram to share a heartfelt and playful poem about her man.
She wrote, “Don’t leave it open if you don’t want company 😂😂😂When your anniversary is on Tues... Yep. I’ll be by your side Outside your door. Ready to roll Even when times get tough & you feel like life is in the toilet I gotchu ❤️Here’s to 14 more✊🏽.”
In the accompanying video, Nicole can be seen calling, “Babe? Happy anniversary! I love you!” The camera pulls back to reveal Boris sitting on the toilet in the background as he closes the door, exclaiming, “Oh, come on!”
“14 years,” Nicole deadpans with a smirk.
Boris shared his own anniversary note for Nicole on social media. Fortunately for her, his wasn’t quite as mortifying.
On the side of the stunning couple looking blissful on a beach, he gushed, “Happy 1️⃣4️⃣th anniversary 🎉🎁🎂 to this flower next to me. I love you ❤️ @nicoleariparkerfor baring your soul, for opening your heart, and for shining your bright light through the thickest and thinnest of times. ☀️”

Nicole and Boris have been going strong since 2005 after meeting on Showtime's “Soul Food.” On “The Real” last year, she talked about what she has on her marriage bucket list, and no, she doesn’t get tired of being asked what makes their love last.
“I like to hear from other people how they solve their problems, because it’s not all romance all the time. Just to keep it real, it’s nice to talk about it!”
