Dua Lipa Claps Back at Haters Who Accused Her of Doctoring Baby Pictures

Don’t come for Dua Lipa about her childhood throwback photos! The “New Rules” singer has some words for those accusing her of photoshopping her baby pics, of all things.

The Grammy-winning pop star responded to speculation over a recently posted Instagram photo of herself as a kid, which led commenters to accuse her of photoshopping her lips to look larger!

Dua claims she would never do something like doctor childhood pics – and has the photographic evidence to prove it. Alongside a series of photos of herself as a kid, Dua spoke out in a strongly worded note of disbelief, and a defense of her natural pout. “To the people saying i photoshop my baby pictures to make my lips look bigger are mad madddd! can’t believe i have to defend myself. you guys are on crack.”

Internet trolls come with celebrity territory, and Dua fired back at commenters this time, but she previously said Katy Perry, who has been in the game for more than a decade, taught her a valuable lesson about online criticism.

Dua told Elle in April, “When I met Katy Perry, she was like, 'I hope you don’t search your name.' She was like, 'That’s what I did at the beginning of my career, and I’d get upset about every tabloid that said something about me.'

Lipa added that reading negative things is a form of “self-abuse,” explaining, “I can’t let the opinions of others define what I feel about myself. That’s something I’m constantly telling my fans as well. Platform or no platform, musician or not, everyone’s getting bullied because everyone’s got this screen and they feel like no one can see them.
