Jennifer Lopez is gearing up to tie the knot with Alex Rodriguez, and the singer is getting candid about how her upcoming nuptials are going to differ from her first two.
J.Lo was married three times before saying yes to A-Rod’s proposal earlier this year. She wed Ojani Noa in 1997 and they broke up in 1998, she was then married to Cris Judd from 2001 until 2003. Her marriage to singer Marc Anthony lasted from 2004 to 2014, and they had two children, twins Max and Emme.
In a YouTube clip that goes inside Jennifer’s current “It’s My Party Tour,” she opens up about why her initial marriage attempts don’t truly “count” to her.
J.Lo explained, ”I’ve been married three times, and once was nine months and once was 11 months, so I don't really count those, but I was married to Marc for 10 years, with the kids. I was very young the first two times I tried to get married. I'm saying 'try' to get married." She added that her way of life was very “lonely,” and trying to fill that void isn’t the right reason to get married.
Now that she’s planning to say “I do” to A-Rod, she has an idea of how she would like the big day to unfold. “I’d like a big wedding, and I’d like to get married in a church this time,” J.Lo revealed, pointing out that she’s “never been married in a church.”
When will the big day go down? J.Lo divulged, “Soon.” She then clarified, “Not soon, soon. But next year.”
