The Toronto Raptors came out on top in the NBA finals, beating the Golden State Warriors, and Stephen Curry took time to congratulate one of the team’s biggest fans!
Despite the loss, Steph hopped on FaceTime post-game to shout out Drake’s major hometown win.
Steph admitted that the L was a tough one, and he “hates” to say it, but he wished the rapper congrats, and assured him that it was “all good though.”
Steph told Drake, “Enjoy it man, it’s big time for you. The whole everybody. Y’all deserve it.”
Drake posted a photo on Instagram of himself basking in the win last night, writing, “Got one.”
He wasn’t the only one expressing support for the team and reacting to the championship win. Native Canadians from Shania Twain to Shawn Mendes took to social media to celebrate.

Barry Jenkins wrote, “Hope EVERYBODY heals up. That was a fantastic playoffs from start to finish. Lotta great memories. Embiid is the one that stays with me the most. Those tears made clear his contract is NOT the primary motivation for why he plays the game. That was soooo damn pure.”
