O.J. Simpson joined Twitter only last Friday, and he’s already using the social network platform to attempt to clear up a longstanding rumor regarding Kris and Khloé Kardsahian.
Rumors been circulating for years that Simpson is the real father of Khloé. Simpson made a video to respond to the claim, declaring that she is not his child, and that he never had a romantic relationship with her mother, Kris Jenner.
Kris’ late ex-husband Robert Kardashian was a member of the defense team for Simpson in the criminal trial for the murders of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson in 1995, for which Simpson was acquitted. Simpson was found responsible for both deaths in a 1997 civil lawsuit filed by the Goldman family. Nicole was a close friend of Kris. Robert died of esophageal cancer in 2003.
The now 71-year-old Simpson said, “Bob Kardashian, he was like a brother to me. He was a great guy. He met and married Kris, and they really had a terrific time together when they were together. Unfortunately, that ended. But never, and I want to stress never, in any way shape or form, I ever had any interest in Kris, romantically or sexually. I never got any indication that she had any interest of me.”
Simpson went on to call the rumors “bogus” and “tasteless,” and express his admiration for Khloé, "Khloé, like all the girls, I'm very proud of, just like I know Bob would be if he was here, but the simple facts of the matter is, she's not mine.”
Khloé spoke against speculation about her father. In a 2016 episode of “Cocktails with Khloé,” she addressed one of her dad’s former spouse’s allegations that said Robert wasn’t her father.
“She wanted to come out, like, 10 years later after my dad passed away, and said that I’m not his daughter and that he confided in her and blah, say blah,” Khloé said, adding that nobody should talk about her dad because he’s not here to defend himself.
