Just call him Chance the Comic! Chance the Rapper took a night off to flex his comedy muscles on Wednesday when he hit the stage at Chicago’s Laugh Factory to tell some jokes!
According to TMZ, Chance was out with his wife Kristen, and decided to give the whole comedy thing a whirl with an impromptu set. Chance seemed pretty comfortable on stage, teasing that his set was going “well” after cracking jokes about everything from being known for “doing stuff for schools” to potty humor, to the news. We’re not sure if he’ll be giving this comedy career a real shot, but at least he had fun dipping his toe in a nerve-wracking experience.
“Date night was great last night,” Chance wrote on Instagram next to a video showing some of his set. “Had a great dinner at @mapleandash and made it out to #laughfactory and saw a few awesome comedians. After the show was over they had an open mic and my wife gassed me into doing 3 minutes. I had a lil heckler try to cut into my jokes but I made it through and conquered a fear of mine. Moral of the story, getchu somebody thats gone gas you, and then take them on dates (more often). #BuddyLove #nuttyprofessor#ReggieWarrington#YouAintInShowBinness.”
Chance’s standup debut was just one standout moment from a date night with his wife. Chance shared another video from yesterday in which a plane can be seen holding a banner that read, “I love you Kristen Bennett.” How romantic! It sounds like this particular date night was extra memorable for these two.
