Cardi B Shares a Special Song for Kulture’s First Birthday

Kulture got some serious bling for her first birthday, and she also received the gift of music, courtesy of her rap star mama!

Cardi not only posted a montage of sweet photos of her and Offset’s daughter in celebration of the baby’s special day, she paired them with an unreleased track she wrote in her honor.

Cardi detailed the meaning behind the song in her caption, writing, "Thank you everybody for wishing my sweet baby a Happy Birthday. I made this song one day before I turned in my album and Eve gave me the green light for the beat I was so grateful! She a real one !It didn’t make it on time tho cause as you can hear I was maaa stuffy with a terrible cold.I couldn’t get it right no matter how many times I spit it 😩Even when we try to mix it u still sound stuffy . I love my baby she changed my life.”

The personal lyrics in the song reflect Cardi’s experience balancing her mega-fame and her pregnancy as she dealt with criticism from fans and the internet.

Cardi raps, “I ain’t even meet you and I love you to death. Performed live on TV, I hid you under my dress. We did the ruffles, the fur coats, a hundred different ways, but it seems like you’re getting larger every day / I’m overwhelmed, the pressure’s starting to swell. The time to turn in my album is winding down.”

She goes on, “That right there’s enough to drive you crazy. Complete strangers talking about my baby. Coming from people that never used to check me, they brought opinions, but nothing off the registry.Cardi, you so stupid, you’re gonna ruin your career. I know I won’t, but if I did I didn’t care.”

Offset, (real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus), posted a picture of a happy little Kulture wearing a onesie that reads, “50% Kiari. 50% Cardi. 100% Kulture.” He wrote, “YOU ARE SO PERFECT LOVE YOU KK HAPPY 1st BDAY I LOVE YOU”
