Stephen Curry Defends Wife Ayesha Curry’s Dancing

Slow news day? That’s the question Stephen Curry is asking to those calling out Ayesha Curry’s dancing. The NBA superstar is coming to the defense of his restauranteur wife, who was mocked by the internet for busting a Milly Rock move at the opening of her fourth establishment, California’s International Smoke.

Loyal hubby Steph posted an Instagram Story addressing critics, saying, “Slow news day today, I see. Just make sure you send me video of you dancing at your own restaurant opening. Because we going to keep Milly Rocking until it happens."

A glimpse of Ayesha is seen in Stephen’s clip, as she put her hands over her face while laughing. Perhaps she’s unbothered by her dancing judges?

Ayesha shared her own photos from her restaurant opening over the weekend, expressing her gratitude for her new endeavor and the support behind it. “I can’t thank the team enough. I have no words. This will never feel normal. I am so grateful. Thank you to my family and friends for coming to support me as well. We didn’t get pictures because we had wayyyy too much fun.”

Ayesha has spoken out over online trolls in the past. She backed up her buzzed-about comments on her relationship insecurities on Red Table Talk in May with a long post about speaking her truth. Ayesha told her followers, “I have never been one to cage my feelings and emotions to any capacity. I am human. It brings me pure joy to speak my mind, be vulnerable at times and to know myself inside and out.”

This is me throwing a pair of spanx in a Marie Kondo-Esque bin. “Does it spark joy?” I have never been one to cage my feelings and emotions to any capacity. I am human. It brings me pure joy to speak my mind, be vulnerable at times and to know myself inside and out. Seeing as how it’s mental health awareness month I really want to take the time to encourage everyone to speak their truth regardless of perception, fitting into a mold or offending someone, because it’s YOUR truth. And that’s okay! If what I’m not afraid to say out loud about being a 30yr mama of 3 helps another woman like me feel like they’re not the alone and not the only one with an insecurity (because we ALL have them, don’t play) then that makes all of this hoopla worth it. If you get a chance to watch the actual RTT and not the headlines and rumors please do! There is so much more depth to the talk and our family is grateful to @jadapinkettsmith for giving us the opportunity to bond together. As women let’s continue to uplift, empower and not suppress and compress our feelings and thoughts, as fleeting as some of them may be 😏. Love to you all! Go FIND YOUR JOY and SPEAK YOUR TRUTH unapologetically. 🙏🏽(that’s all-Miranda voice)
