Anne Hathaway Announces Pregnancy with Message for Those Dealing With Fertility Issues

No, it’s not for a role! Anne Hathaway shared some joyous news on Instagram Wednesday — the actress is expecting her second child with husband Adam Shulman. The reveal came in the form of a black and white selfie that showed Anne’s growing bump, paired with a caption that considers those who have dealt with infertility as well as honesty about her own struggles to conceive.

Anne wrote, “"It's not for a movie...⁣⁣#2⁣. All kidding aside, for everyone going through infertility and conception hell, please know it was not a straight line to either of my pregnancies. Sending you extra love.”

Anne is already mama to son Jonathan, who was born in 2016. The Oscar winner has remained candid about motherhood over the past few years. She told Elle in 2017 that when she was holding her week-old son, she “all of a sudden thought, 'Mommy guilt is invented nonsense.'"

Anne also revealed earlier this year that she gave up alcohol. She told Ellen DeGeneres, “I’m going to stop drinking while my son is in my house just because I don’t totally love the way I do it, and he’s getting to an age where he really does need me all the time in the mornings.”
