Is a Destiny’s Child Reunion in the Works?

Destiny’s Child officially broke up 15 years ago, but now there are rumblings that the iconic girl group could be planning a comeback in 2020. The writing isn’t exactly on the wall just yet, but a source recently revealed to The Sun that Beyoncé is hatching a plan to make music with Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland.

Bey, Kelly and Michelle got together for Beyoncé’s epic Coachella performance in 2018 and they took the stage at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2013. Could they be making a real return next year? A music insider spilled to The Sun, “Beyoncé has been desperate to get the girls back together with her in the studio and she can’t think of a better time than 2020, when they will be marking two decades as one of the world’s biggest all-female groups."

According to the source, Bey was inspired by the Spice Girls’ recent reunion tour, adding, “She saw the success of the Spice Girls tour and wants to replicate that — but far bigger and better."

Kelly Rowland broke Destiny’s Child fans’ hearts everywhere last month when she refuted reunion rumors in an interview with, saying, “It's nothing that we've talked about yet.”

Kelly celebrated the 20th birthday of the Destiny’s Child chart-topping album “The Writing’s On the Wall” last week by sharing a video of herself singing along in the car. She wrote, “Happy Birthday, The Writings on the Wall. So blessed to be a part of such an amazing body of work. Can’t believe we were in our teens when we did this.”

Perhaps she and Michelle and Beyoncé have opened up a conversation about getting the band back together? Your move, Destiny’s Child! Something tells us the fans will welcome you all back to the stage with open arms.
