Is Selena Gomez the next superstar to launch a cosmetics brand? The singer and actress might have an upcoming beauty line in the works, as she reportedly filed a trademark for “Selena Gomez” with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office last month for products that include “fragrances, cosmetics, skin-care preparations, hair-care preparations, soaps, moisturizers and essential oils.”
Following in the footsteps of beauty success stories like fellow musician Rihanna and reality star Kylie Jenner, Selena could very well be the next big thing in beauty. The “It Ain’t Me” songstress has worked on clothing collaborations and fragrances in the past, and she has one of the biggest social media presences around with a whopping 155 million followers on Instagram. (She was dethroned by Ariana Grande for the most followed-female title earlier this year.)
Lady Gaga is another singer jumping into the beauty business as of late, as the Oscar and Grammy winner dropped Haus Laboratories in July.
There’s no word on when Selena’s potential products will launch, and the 27-year-old has not confirmed the project yet, but we’re sure her loyal fans are excited to get a glimpse at what the multi-talented entertainer will do when she officially enters the beauty space!
