Happy Birthday, Idris Elba! Check Out Some of the Star’s Standout Moments

Today is a very special day, people, because Idris Elba is turning 47! The actor, and Sexiest Man Alive, is celebrating his birthday, which means we have the perfect excuse to take a look back at some of his unforgettable moments.

The British-born entertainer has starred in shows like “Luther” and “The Wire” and films such as “Beasts of No Nation” and “Hobbs & Shaw,” earning an Emmy and a Golden Globe nomination in his esteemed career. He also had a milestone 2019, marrying his love Sabrina Dhowre in April!

Idris and Sabrina graced the cover of British Vogue’s July issue. “What a time to be alive….,” he wrote. How romantic!

Met Gala stunners! He and his sweetheart attended this year’s fashion extravaganza and wowed on the red carpet.

All that, and he can rap too? Idris dropped some bars for the track “Boasty” — not bad!

Oh, yeah — he’s also a DJ! Idris was ready to show off his skills at Coachella, and he just happened to play at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding last year. No biggie.

Last November, he was crowned People’s Sexiest Man Alive. “Who’d have thought it!” he captioned the news. Um, everyone?

He slayed at the Golden Globes in a dapper green tux.

And what we would have to describe as a crowning occasion — that time Loni interviewed him!
