Prince Harry Crashes Meghan Markle's Roundtable on Gender Equality

Meghan Markle was joined by an unexpected guest during her discussion about gender equality — her husband Prince Harry!

On Friday at Windsor Castle, the Duchess of Sussex met with participants from the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust and One Young World to talk about how these organizations can create change to empower women.

Though many believed Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor’s mom would arrive solo, they enjoyed a surprise visit from the Duke of Sussex himself. In fact, she jokingly thanked everyone for allowing the royal to “crash the party.”

Meghan exclaimed to the group, “In terms of gender equality, which has been something I have championed for quite a long time, you know, I think that that conversation can’t happen without men being part of it.”

The former “Suits” actress emphasized how her husband is an ardent supporter of equal rights, adding, “This is something that is also very key to the way my husband feels. And he’s been working in this space since 2013, which a lot of people don’t notice as much. But I think that’s what’s really important: You can’t have a conversation about women’s empowerment with just women.”

For the event, Meghan stunned in a Hugo Boss red leather skirt, Joseph cranberry V-neck sweater, and Sarah Flint red suede pumps. Not to be outdone, Harry looked dapper in a light blue suit.

Of course, these organizations are near and dear to Markle’s heart. Not only is she vice-president of the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, which champions, funds, and connects young leaders, she is a longtime supporter of One Young World, a global forum for young leaders.

Meghan and Harry continue to make a positive impact in our world.
