New Mom Shay Mitchell Claps Back After Fans Criticize Her for Attending Drake’s Birthday

Shay Mitchell is defending herself against the wrath of Internet trolls.

On October 23, the “Pretty Little Liars” star attended Drake’s 33rd birthday party at Goya Studios in Hollywood.

Unfortunately, a few social media users criticized the actress for going to the event “days” after she posted her daughter’s birth announcement on October 20.

On Wednesday on Instagram Story, the Canadian thespian posted a video where she shot back at her haters, clarifying that she did not attend the bash three days after actually delivering her child.

“I haven’t been really checking my comments that often, but apparently people are really upset that I left three days after having a kid to go out and party. It wasn’t three days and I left her with [my dog] Angel,” the 32-year-old sarcastically remarked.

One person wrote, “Wait. So you literally just had her and you’re more worried about clubbing with Drake? Wooow,” while another commented, “Mother of the year award right here!!!! As if you seriously could leave your baby to go party?!!! I hope the child’s aid look into this and your abilities to be a good parent cause damn!!! Lacking some serious skills there sweety! #selfish."

In the last episode of her YouTube series “Almost Ready,” Mitchell documented her 33-hour labor.

“This is definitely the most intense experience of my life,” she exclaimed. “[Boyfriend Matte Babel] and I are parents and I can’t believe it. We thought being pregnant was a journey and I’m realizing we have just begun.”
