Khloé Kardashian is setting the record straight about her People’s Choice Awards appearance.
On Sunday in Santa Monica, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star attended the ceremony with mom Kris Jenner and sisters Kim and Kourtney Kardashian.
When the family took the stage to accept the award for Best Reality Show, fans were puzzled why Khloé (and Kourtney) stayed quiet during the acceptance speech, and why Khloé did not acknowledge her individual win for Best Reality Star.
Afterward, the 35-year-old went on Twitter and explained what happened.
“It’s so beyond loud in there. I had no idea I won an individual award until we walked off stage,” True Thompson’s mom dished. “I feel so badly right now. I am so ------- grateful and appreciative! I can’t believe I didn’t say anything but I didn’t hear that I won until after.”
While another social media user theorized Kardashian’s “nerves” played a part in her silence, Khloé agreed but also reiterated her previous point.
“Nerves yes but I literally didn’t know until after lol I still feel so badly about it,” she answered. “I love you guys so much.”
That same night, Khloé and Kourtney joked about their “awkward” on-air moment in Instagram Stories.
“Just so everybody knows, it’s so awkward, like, when you go onstage,” Khloé said to her followers. “I know, Kim is a G and she kind of takes over and she will talk. Kourtney and I are in the back, like…”
“'Do we say thank you, do we not? What do we say?'” Kourtney chimed in.
Luckily, Instagram gave them a second chance to speak up!
