Zooey Deschanel & Jonathan Scott Make Red-Carpet Debut

Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott continue to show off their new relationship.

On Sunday night in Brooklyn, the “New Girl” actress and the “Property Brothers” star made their red-carpet debut at the Critics’ Choice Documentary Awards.

While the She & Him singer wore a floral cocktail dress, the HGTV personality looked handsome in a burgundy suit.

News of their romance first broke after Deschanel split from her husband of four years, Jacob Pechenik.

“They started out as friends. They’ve been out a few times and seem to want to keep the romance on the quieter side,” a HollywoodLife.com source dished in September. “It’s pretty new still. They seem to like each other a lot and Jonathan travels a lot, but they see one another when they can.”

The couple — who met while filming a “Carpool Karaoke” segment with her sister, Emily Deschanel, and his brother, Drew Scott — went Instagram official in October when they both posted pictures from their outing to Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights.

“Still processing how scared I was of these people dressed in spooky masks,” she captioned.

Later that month, TMZ reported Pechenik filed for divorce from Deschanel, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

The film producer asked for joint legal and physical custody of their children: 4-year-old Elsie and 2-year-old Charlie.

Despite the drama, Jacob has publicly said only positive things about his ex and her new boyfriend.

“Everything is amicable and we have two beautiful children together. We’ve been raising them and we’re going to continue to raise them, and take great care of them… I’m happy,” he said in a statement to HollywoodLife.com. “[Zooey and I] haven’t had so many differences when it comes to the business,” he added about their subscription vegetable company, Lettuce Grow. “We both know what our strengths and weaknesses are and turn to each other for suggestions or advice on the other person’s expertise.”

All’s well that ends well!
