Pregnant Malika Haqq Had Baby Out of 'Love,' but Froze Eggs Beforehand

Malika Haqq was always determined to have a baby.

In a clip from her “Side by Side” web show posted on Tuesday, the “Dash Dolls” star revealed she froze her eggs for her 35th birthday — many months before she found out she was pregnant with a boy.

“The reason why I was so excited to learn that I was pregnant because I knew that my life was gonna change for the better,” the 36-year-old said to twin sister Khadijah Haqq.

She continued, “The greatest blessing I’ve always wanted but didn’t know how I was going to get it is finally here. I didn’t know when I was gonna have children, so deciding to freeze my eggs as a gift to myself for my 35th birthday is pretty hilarious now at this point because I have eggs in the freezer that I may never use.”

The actress — who is Khloé Kardashian’s best friend — also confirmed, “I made a baby in love and those eggs weren’t necessary.”

Though she has not publicly identified her baby’s father, an Us Weekly report in September said ex-boyfriend, O.T. Genasis, is the dad.

Malika announced she was expecting her bundle of joy in September.

“I listen to my heart, and I’ve decided that the rest of my life will be the best of my life. I’m pregnant!” she exclaimed on Instagram. “I didn’t know when, I just knew one day. God said it’s my turn, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the little spirit that grows inside of me. I am yours, baby, and you are mine.”

We are so happy for you, Malika!
