YG is starting off the new year on a positive note.
On Tuesday on Twitter, the “Big Bank” rapper issued an apology to the LGBTQ community for his past “ignorant” views.
“it’s been brought to my attention that my old views on life was ignorant. i apologize to the LGBTQ kommunity for ever komin across like i was anything but respectful and accepting,” the 29-year-old musician wrote.
The artist added, “Live. Love. Ya Life. Gang!”

Live. Love. Ya Life. Gang!
Though it is unclear what exactly prompted this statement, some fans believe it has something to do with his ex-girlfriend Kehlani, who is openly bisexual.
The couple went public in September 2019 when they attended the Kith runway show as part of New York Fashion Week.
However, the next month, YG was spotted kissing a different girl outside of Poppy nightclub in Los Angeles, per a video obtained by The Shade Room. His team later told the website “he was drunk” and “got carried away.”
In November, Kehlani appeared to address the cheating scandal in her song “You Know Wassup,” when she said she was “embarrassed” by the controversy but still wanted to make things work.
However, the next month, the singer hinted the two were done in a since-deleted tweet. While addressing rumors she moved on from YG to Tory Lanez, she reportedly wrote, “Because i keep seeing this. I’m addressing it. absolutely not. we made a song for my album. I am single. and focused.”
