DaBaby was arrested in Miami on Thursday night after being questioned about his involvement in an alleged robbery.
According to a police report obtained by People, the “Suge” rapper allegedly got into a “verbal altercation” with a concert promoter, who the musician reportedly believed shorted him several thousand dollars for a concert he was supposed to perform that day.
The artist allegedly punched a different victim in the face, and allegedly “began attacking” the promoter with a group of “several other males.” One of the men with DaBaby allegedly stole $80, a credit card, and an iPhone 7 from the concert promoter, while another person allegedly “doused him with apple juice.”
The MC — born Jonathan Lyndale Kirk — was later arrested in relation to the robbery investigation.
According to the Miami Herald, when DaBaby arrived at the jail, it was discovered that he had an outstanding organized criminal activity warrant for an incident last month in Texas, where he allegedly got into a fight with a food stand employee at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
While he was slapped with a battery charge in Miami, some outlets are reporting that this stemmed from his scene in Dallas.
On Friday, DaBaby appeared in front of a judge for the Miami incident and then faced a different judge for the Dallas event, who ruled he will be held without bond due to his active warrant.
WSVN 7 News reports he is due back in court Tuesday, Jan. 7.
TMZ sources say DaBaby’s team is talking to Texas officials to see if they can work out a release.
