Justin Bieber Confirms Lyme Disease Diagnosis

Justin Bieber gets real about his health.

On Wednesday, the “Love Yourself” singer confirmed a TMZ report that said he will discuss his Lyme disease diagnosis in his upcoming 10-part YouTube Originals docuseries, “Justin Bieber: Seasons.”

Per the publication, the musician’s condition went undiagnosed for most of 2019 until doctors were able to pinpoint the illness — spread by ticks — late last year.

Though People reported in February 2017 that he was “receiving treatment” for depression, TMZ noted that his mental health disorder was a result of the tick-borne ailment.

In an Instagram post, the Canadian pop star also revealed he dealt with a “serious case of chronic mono.”

“While a lot of people kept saying justin Bieber looks like ----, on meth etc. they failed to realize I’ve been recently diagnosed with Lyme disease, not only that but had a serious case of chronic mono which affected my skin, brain function, energy, and overall health,” he wrote. “These things will be explained further in a docu series I’m putting on YouTube shortly.”

Despite this, the 25-year-old says he is “battling and overcoming” his issues.

“It’s been a rough couple years but getting the right treatment that will help treat this so far incurable disease and I will be back and better than ever NO CAP,” he concluded.

Additionally, wife Hailey Bieber went on Twitter to defend her husband against trolls who tried to downplay Justin’s announcement.

She also thanked former star of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” Yolanda Hadid and singer Avril Lavigne — two celebrities who have been vocal about their Lyme disease — for their support.

In a 2016 episode of “RHOBH,” Yolanda revealed daughter Bella, 23, and son, Anwar, 20, also contracted the disease.

You got this, Justin!
