‘Friends’ Actor Stan Kirsch Dead from Suicide

Stan Kirsch has passed away.

According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner–Coroner, the actor — who appeared in “Highlander: The Series” and “Friends” — died January 11 from suicide by hanging. He was 51.

Per law enforcement sources via TMZ, his wife, Kristyn Green, found him in their bathroom. Though paramedics arrived, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The couple, who per Facebook married in February 2009, opened up an acting school — the Stan Kirsch Studios — in 2008.

“We tragically lost our beloved Stan Kirsch on January 11th,” a statement on Kirsch’s page read. “We will be closed for the next 2 weeks as we process and grieve. He was so loved and we are all just devastated. Thank you for your understanding and respecting our privacy during this incredibly difficult time.”

Green also wrote on her social media, “I want to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support. I haven’t been able to respond to all the texts, calls, emails – but have read or listened to every single one of them.”

She added, “I feel surrounded by love and am forever grateful to each and every one of you.”

In a 1995 episode of “Friends,” Stan played a high school senior who lies to Courteney Cox’s character, Monica, about his age.
