Jesse Tyler Ferguson dropped a bombshell on “The Late Late Show with James Corden”!
On Wednesday’s episode, the “Modern Family” star revealed he is expecting his first child with husband Justin Mikita.
While sharing advice about turning 40 with fellow guest Charlie Hunnam, the actor remarked, “It’s when you finally become an adult, I feel. Like, ‘I need to start getting serious about things.’”
That’s when he announced, “Actually, this is something I haven’t even mentioned to anyone, if we could just keep it between the three of us and you all, but I’m actually expecting a baby in July with my husband.”
Though the Emmy nominee would not reveal the bundle of joy’s sex, he did joke the baby was going to be “human.”
“I’m very excited, but it feels like, ‘I’m 44 now, let’s get this show going,’” he added. “Tick-tock.”
Ferguson and Mikita got married in July 2013 at a ceremony in New York City.
That same year, Jesse humorously told People that he and Justin wanted to have “a Kate Gosselin situation” and have “at least eight, minimum!”
