DJ Khaled’s newborn — literally — means “the world” to him!
On Sunday at the 2020 Grammy Awards, the music producer and John Legend accepted the Best Rap/Sung Performance honor for their song “Higher,” which also featured late rapper Nipsey Hussle.
While onstage, the mogul — known for catchphrases such as “Another one!” — announced his second son’s unique moniker!
“First of all, God is the greatest. Thank you, God,” the DJ exclaimed to the audience. “This is for Nipsey Hussle. This is for hip-hop… I want to thank my beautiful queen [wife of 11 years] Nicole [Turk]. I just had a new baby boy a week ago, who we named Alealam. It means ‘the world’ in Arabic.”
Last week, the record executive — born Khaled Mohamed Khaled — revealed on Instagram that Turk gave birth to their latest bundle of joy.
“IM INSPIRED! ANOTHER ONE ! 👶 GRATEFUL THANKFUL ! GOD IS THE GREATEST ! 🤲🏽,” Khaled captioned one of his snaps.
He also thanked “Dr. Jin,” who presumably helped Nicole deliver her second child.
The couple welcomed their first son, Asahd, in October 2016.
