Beyoncé Honors Kobe & Gianna Bryant After Tragedy

Beyoncé pays her respects to Kobe and Gianna Bryant.

On Sunday, the NBA legend and his 13-year-old daughter were killed when their helicopter crashed in Calabasas, California. The incident also claimed the lives of seven others, who were headed to Mamba Academy in Thousand Oaks for a basketball practice.

On Wednesday on Instagram, the “Spirit” singer honored the two by posting pictures of them — including a snap of the Los Angeles Laker as a child.

While posting a recent pic of Kobe and Gianna — attending the Lakers vs. the Atlanta Hawks game in November 2019 — the songstress added the touching caption, “I will continue to diligently pray for your Queens.”

The 38-year-old continued, “You are deeply missed beloved Kobe.”

On Wednesday, Kobe’s wife and Gianna’s mother, Vanessa Bryant, broke her silence by issuing a statement on social media.

“My girls and I want to thank the millions of people who’ve shown support and love during this horrific time. Thank you for all the prayers. We definitely need them,” she wrote.

Vanessa — who also shares 17-year-old Natalia, 3-year-old Bianka and 7-month-old Capri with the athlete — added, “I’m not sure what our lives hold beyond today, and it’s impossible to imagine life without them. But we wake up each day, trying to keep pushing because Kobe, and our baby girl, Gigi, are shining on us to light the way.”
