Dr. Amie Harwick, Ex-Fiancée of Drew Carey, Murdered

Dr. Amie Harwick, who was formerly engaged to Drew Carey, has been murdered.

TMZ reports the therapist was killed over the weekend when she was attacked, causing her to fall from her third-story balcony.

Saturday morning, Harwick’s ex-boyfriend, Gareth Pursehouse, was arrested and booked for murder.

That morning, authorities had received a call that a woman was screaming in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood.

“On Saturday, February 15, 2020, around 1:16 a.m. Hollywood patrol officers responded to a radio call of a ‘woman screaming’ in the 2000 block of Mound Street in Hollywood Hills,” LAPD said in a statement.

When cops arrived, they were approached by Harwick’s roommate who said Amie was being assaulted inside of the residence.

After entering the home, officials found Harwick’s unresponsive body underneath the balcony, with injuries consistent with a fall. She was taken to a hospital where she later died.

There is evidence to suggest that the incident may have involved a forced entry and struggle.

Investigators also say they found surveillance footage and determined the suspect to be a white male dressed in black.

Cops say Harwick recently expressed concerns about an ex-boyfriend, who she once had a restraining order against. Amie’s order had expired two weeks prior to her death, and she had reportedly reunited with Pursehouse in the past few weeks.

Harwick and Carey first started dating in 2017 and got engaged in early 2018, but split later that year.
