‘The Real’ Reacts to Al Pacino Apparently Being Cheap!

Is Al Pacino actually frugal, or was he “testing” his ex-girlfriend Meital Dohan?

In a recent, revealing interview with Israeli magazine La’Isha, the “Weeds” actress, 40, discussed her split from the legendary 70-year-old actor after nearly two years of dating.

“I tried to deny it,” she said about their 39-year age gap, “but now he is already an elderly man, to be honest. So even with all my love, it didn’t last.”

To add insult to injury, Dohan — who met the star of “The Irishman” at an after-screening party in Hollywood — insinuated that he was cheap.

“How can I say politely that he didn’t like to spend money?” she divulged. “He only bought me flowers.”

Though she says the two broke up after an argument, Meital is grateful for the time they spent together.

“I really love and appreciate him, and I was glad to be there for him when he needed me, and to be a part of his legacy,” she added. “It’s an honor for me. I’m glad this relationship happened between us, and hope we remain good friends.”

On Wednesday’s live episode of “The Real,” hosts Jeannie Mai, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Amanda Seales, Loni Love and Adrienne Houghton discussed Dohan’s qualms about Pacino’s years and spending habits.

While reflecting on her own relationship with Jeezy, Mai believes age is nothing but a number.

“With me, age isn’t a thing. I’m not a big [judger] of age,” she remarked. “Like, if you vibe, you vibe, you vibe. And I love Jeezy for Jeezy. I love him for who he is. So age isn’t a thing.”

As for Dohan’s claim that she only received flowers from Pacino, Jeannie believes a gift should be measured by the thought that went into it — not by its price tag.

“But the flowers—I’m a big person who loves to celebrate the five love languages. You may not have money, but if you spend quality time making me a meal, you do personal touches,” Mai explained. “There’s things you can do to make a person feel loved… You gotta make a person feel like they are special to you in every way possible. And you have time in two years.”

Despite having a seven-year age gap with her husband Adam, Mowry-Housley asserts she is not willing to be in a relationship with a much older man.

“I couldn’t do it. I’ll tell you why. The whole point is to grow old with somebody, and he’s already there!” she exclaimed. “And, as you guys know, I love sex and I can’t be on edge thinking, like, ‘Okay, is he going to make it through this one?’ That’s just me!”

Toward the end of Girl Chat, Jeannie suggests Pacino reportedly skimped on gifts to not mislead his then-girlfriend.

“And I know that some men reserve from giving the woman too much because you don’t want to lead them on to think there’s more,” Mai said.

Love hilariously added, “Al was testing her, and she failed the test. So, he saved some money.”
