Kourtney Kardashian is bringing to light a controversial topic in parenting.
In an interview with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s beauty blog Rose Inc. published on Tuesday, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star was asked by interviewer Annie Tomlin, “What will you never apologize for?”
The mother of three — who shares Mason, 10, Penelope, 7, and Reign, 5, with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick — responded, “Kissing my kids on the lips.”
Back in 2017, the Poosh creator posted a sweet Instagram photo of her kissing Reign on the lips with the caption, “eternal love.”
The next year, Disick posted a pic of him showing love to his youngest, with the text, “Me and mini me.”
Of course, Kardashian and Disick are not the only celebrity parents who have faced criticism for how they show affection toward their children.
In 2018, Tom Brady made headlines when he kissed his 11-year-old son, Jack, on the lips in the Facebook docuseries “Tom vs. Time.”
In her interview with Rose Inc., Kardashian also discussed how she deals with negative comments from social media trolls.
“I really try to not give energy to things that aren’t worthy of my energy,” she answered. “Once in a while, I may respond to a negative comment for fun, or if something really does bother me I definitely have the platform to correct it… but I usually don’t think twice.”
She continued, “No matter what it is that I am doing, someone has something to say, good or bad. The worst, though, is when people I don’t know give unsolicited parenting advice. No one knows my kids better than me, I’ve got this, I’m good, thanks.”
