Auli‘i Cravalho, who voiced the title character in Disney’s 2016 animated film “Moana,” has come out as bisexual.
Wednesday on Twitter, the actress — who also appeared on the television show “Rise” — was asked by a fan, “do u like girls?”
In response, the 19-year-old directed the inquisitive social media user to her TikTok page, which featured a video of Cravalho lip-syncing to Eminem’s “Those Kinda Nights.”
In the clip, the Hawaii-native confirms her sexual orientation by mouthing, “No, I’m bi.”
Afterward, an overwhelming amount of Twitter users applauded Cravalho’s announcement.
“lgbt women of color SOLIDARITY,” one wrote, referencing that Cravalho’s mother is of Native Hawaiian descent, while her father is of mixed Puerto Rican, Portuguese, Chinese, and Irish ancestry.
“Wait you're telling me the one female voice actor I’ve ever had a crush on is in the LGBT community?!” another exclaimed.
Olympic gymnast and “Dancing with the Stars” Season 23 winner Laurie Hernandez also commented, “wow YES.”
Cravalho is set to star in the upcoming Netflix drama “Sorta Like a Rock Star” alongside Carol Burnett and Fred Armisen.
