Ciara Reveals What It’s Like to Be Pregnant in the Coronavirus Era

Ciara is giving fans an intimate look at what it is like to be pregnant during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Wednesday on Instagram, the “Level Up” singer — who previously announced she is expecting her third child, a boy — posted a video of a recent ultrasound visit.

In the video, while wearing a face mask and gloves — surrounded by doctors also wearing protective equipment — the musician FaceTimes her husband Russell Wilson, who could not physically be at the appointment due to social distancing rules.

“The life of a pregnant woman in Covid-19 Era is very interesting,” the 34-year-old pop star captioned the clip. “Russ had to FaceTime me from the car for our Ultrasound.”

“We don’t hear to [sic] much about US during this time,” she added.

To prevent spread of the coronavirus, many hospitals have limited or banned visitors, even if they are the partner of someone in labor.

However, after two New York City hospitals tried to implement such a policy, Gov. Andrew Cuomo issued an executive order late last month mandating that all state hospitals must allow partners in labor and delivery rooms.

“In no hospital in New York will a woman be forced to be alone when she gives birth. Not now, not ever,” Cuomo wrote in a March 28 tweet.

Earlier this week, Ciara and Russell posted a video of their gender reveal, where they shot out blue smoke from confetti cannons — indicating that their bundle of joy is going to be a boy!

The two — who tied the knot in 2016 — are parents to daughter Sienna, almost 3. Ciara also shares son Future Zahir Wilburn, 6 next month, with her ex-fiancé.
