Yolanda Hadid seemingly confirms that daughter Gigi Hadid is expecting her first child with boyfriend Zayn Malik, and is due in September!
On Wednesday, the former star of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” was quoted in an interview with Dutch broadcasting station RTL Boulevard saying she was “excited to become [an] Oma,” meaning grandmother.
“Still shocked our little secret got leaked to the press,” she was quoted in a statement translated to English. “Of course we are so excited. I am excited to become [an] Oma in September especially after I lost my mom so recently. But this is the beauty of life; one soul leaves us and a new one comes in. We feel very blessed.”
Last August on Instagram, Yolanda revealed her mother Ans van den Herik passed away at age 78. Gigi said on her page that Ans “fought cancer six times in her life with courage, strength, and grace while being the greatest mother and grandmother.”
Though “E! News” reported that Yolanda “liked” an Instagram post from Elle UK featuring a quote from her RTL Boulevard interview, it appears the “like” is no longer there.
Yolanda also posted and then deleted a comment — saying, “Foster?” — correcting the British magazine, which appeared to call her “Yolanda Foster,” her moniker when she was married to now-ex David Foster.
While Gigi’s mother seems to be vocal about her daughter’s pregnancy, Gigi’s father, Mohamed, is not!
“Normally I don’t talk about family affairs in the public, so let’s leave it alone for now,” Mohamed told Al Jadeed TV during an Instagram Live this week. “I have to get used to a lot of things, so let’s keep that conversation for the next time.”
This week, TMZ reported that Gigi is 20 weeks along in her pregnancy and is expecting a girl.
Though Gigi hasn’t officially confirmed or denied the baby news, she did hint about it Wednesday on IG Live.
While posting a picture of a plate of pasta with “spicy vodka sauce,” she wrote that she made the dish without vodka.
Spill the beans, girl!
