Elon Musk and Grimes welcomed their first child together — but all everyone is talking about is the baby boy’s unique name!
Monday on Twitter, the 48-year-old founder and CEO of SpaceX confirmed that his musician girlfriend, 32, delivered their bundle of joy.
“Mom & baby all good,” the CEO of Tesla Inc. wrote on Twitter hours after he tweeted, “A few hours away!”

In addition to revealing the sex of their child, Musk also announced the tot’s one-of-a-kind moniker.
“X Æ A-12 Musk,” he responded to an inquisitive fan.

After baby X Æ A-12’s name went viral, several social media users were confused as to the moniker’s pronunciation.
“Can one enlighten me on how you would actually pronounce X Æ A-12?” one Twitter user wrote.
“I feel so bad for all the substitute teachers that are going to have to try and pronounce X Æ A-12 during attendance,” another added.
However, on Monday, Musk “liked” a tweet that appears to confirm the pronunciation of his newborn’s name.
The tweet pointed out that “Æ” is a ligature named “Ash,” and that “A-12” is in reference to a reconnaissance aircraft named “The Lockheed A-12” whose internal code name was “Archangel.”
Thus, it appears “X Æ A-12” is pronounced “X Ash Archangel.”

X is Grimes’ first child, and Musk’s seventh. The engineer shares six sons with first wife, Justine Wilson, a Canadian author. Musk and Wilson’s eldest, Nevada Alexander, tragically died of sudden infant death syndrome at the age of 10 weeks.
Grimes, born Claire Boucher, officially confirmed her pregnancy in January of this year.
Congratulations to Elon and Grimes on their baby!
