Tristan Thompson is taking legal action against Kimberly Alexander, a woman who claims he is the father of her 5-year-old son.
Per TMZ on Monday, the Cleveland Cavaliers player filed a libel suit against Alexander, seeking damages.
According to legal documents, Thompson’s lawyer Marty Singer says his client took a paternity test in January which “definitively concluded that [he] is not the father.”
Additionally, the lawsuit alleges Alexander said on social media that Thompson took an “at-home paternity test,” when Thompson and his counsel contend that he took a test administered by a legitimate, well-respected DNA laboratory.
Thompson and his attorney also allege that Alexander posted the confidential test results on Instagram and accused the testing service company of “sabotage.”
This is most likely in reference to an Instagram post, posted by blog Gossip of the City and potentially from Alexander, that suggests the facility fabricated the results because one of their doctors appeared on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” a show starring Thompson’s ex-girlfriend Khloé Kardashian.
Thompson’s legal papers also quote Michael Jackson’s hit song “Billie Jean,” which tells the story of a woman who claims that the narrator is the father of her newborn son.
“To quote Michael Jackson, ‘The kid is not [his] son,’” it reads.
Overall, the lawsuit — which claims Alexander has been evicted from five residences in the last seven years — asserts the defendant is making these paternity allegations because she wants money.
Last week, a TMZ source said Thompson reportedly had a one-night stand with Alexander, but during the 2011-2012 basketball season.
Because of this, their reported hookup eight or nine years ago does not match the age of Alexander’s 5-year-old child.
Thompson and Kardashian — who share daughter True, 2 — previously sent Alexander a cease-and-desist letter.
