Sia Confirms She Adopted 2 Teenagers!

Sia opens up about motherhood in a candid new interview.

While speaking to SiriusXM’s “The Morning Mash Up” on Tuesday, the “Cheap Thrills” singer confirms she adopted two teenagers in 2019.

“I actually adopted two sons last year. They were both 18 — they’re both 19 years old now,” the 44-year-old told hosts Nicole Ryan, Ryan Sampson, and Stanley T. “They were aging out of the foster care system. Yeah, and I love them.”

As to how her boys are dealing with the coronavirus pandemic, the Australian musician admits they are both struggling with the quarantine.

“They are both finding it pretty difficult, one more so than the other,” the songstress dished. “But they’re both doing things that are really good for them right now, that are really helpful. They’re really doing a lot of educational stuff that’s good for them.”

Sia previously revealed she was a parent during an interview with GQ published this January.

While admitting that she once texted LSD group member Diplo for casual sex, she told the magazine, “This year I wrote [Diplo] a text, and I said, ‘Hey, listen, you’re like one of five people that I’m sexually attracted to, and now that I’ve decided to be single for the rest of my life and I just adopted a son, I don’t have time for a relationship… If you’re interested in some no-strings sex, then hit me up.’”

The artist — who famously conceals her face with a wig — was previously married to filmmaker Erik Anders Lang until their separation in December 2016.

“After much soul searching and consideration, we have made the decision to separate as a couple,” the couple told People at the time. “We are, however, dedicated to remaining friends. There will be no further comment.”
